FREE a TREE Volunteer Day, Wawapek Preserve

June 10 @ 10:00 am 12:00 pm

New York Invasive Species Awareness Week (NYISAW) partners across the state are joining forces to raise awareness and inspire action.

Join our partner, North Shore Land Alliance, for an invasive species workday. Invasive vines, originally introduced as ornamental plants, pose a serious threat to our native trees and forests. As they climb, they block sunlight and airflow, trap moisture that can lead to rot, harbor pests, and even strangle trunks. at Wawapek preserve to remove these vines, push back invasive species and give our trees a chance to thrive.

Help them free 250 trees from vines by July Fourth! Visit their site for more information
