The Long Island Invasive Species Management Area and Long Island Native Plant Initiative are excited to announce our upcoming biennial symposium for spring 2026!
The 2026 LIISMA/LINPI Resilient Long Island Symposium will be held on March 20th in person at Hofstra University.
Abstracts for poster session presentations are being accepted! The poster session will be on March 19th in the evening. Additional information will be provided as the date nears
Poster presentations may briefly summarize research or a practical project. Presenters will introduce their topic during the poster slam, and will later have the opportunity to speak further with guests on their work during the poster session.
Poster and oral presentations should address one of the following topics. Submissions in similar related topics will be considered.
- Invasive species management or research
- Native plant propagation, care, etc.
- Restoration, ecological resilience, or other related ecological topics
- Diversity, equity and inclusion in conservation, such as topics on inclusive volunteerism and community science
